Freedom Solar Roofing is designed to be installed on sloped roofs of 2:12 pitch or greater. Freedom Solar Roofs are designed to be used with all roof types. Whether your roof is cedar shake, slate, tile, asphalt, or metal, Freedom Solar Roofs can be integrated. Because of the universal flashing designs for Freedom Solar Roofing, installation is simple. Utilizing simple plug in connectors to "daisy chain," the electrical connections go from one panel to the next.
For the amount of roof space need, a rule of thumb is that every 1,000 Watts of solar modules will require 200 sq ft of roof space. Since most systems range between 2,000W to 5,000W the roof space required will range from 400 sq ft to 1000 sq ft.
